Health Minister Vaughan Gething announced the new track and trace system for Wales will be launched on Monday.

The lockdown new rules mean you are able to to meet another household outdoors as long as it’s within five miles of your home. These measures will be in place for 21 days whilst Welsh Government consider further measures to ease lockdown.

Wales now has a laboratory capacity of over 9,000 tests a day with capacity expected to increase to 10,000 tests a day in the near future. Tracing pilots have been ongoing in Hywel Dda, Powys, Betsi Cadwaladr and Cwm Taf Morgannwg health board areas since 18 May.

Following on from community check in discussion this week, we plan to submit a response to the Welsh Parliament’s Children, Young People and Education Committees enquiry into the impact of COVID 19 on children and young people. The next meeting on June 9 will focus on the impact on physical and mental health. You can also submit your own response here.
